Hello! My name is Tami Pugmire. I live in Haymarket, Virginia with my husband, Scott, and two boys - Kyle (13) & Colby (9). We love traveling together and going on exciting adventures. We also enjoy playing games, golfing, and getting together with family and friends.
I have always been interested in all things crafty and creative. The only gift I wanted for my 10th birthday was my very own sewing machine. Wish granted due to a yard sale find! I have dabbled just about every medium, from painting and fibre arts to paper crafting, bag-making, and sewing. My favorite of them all? Quilting! In April of 2017 I was working for a local quilt shop who became a retailer for Handi Quilter. I was trained as a certified Handi Quilter technician. Over the next year, I maintained the shop machines, performed standard maintenance on, and installed customer machines. As a young girl, I never imagined myself working as a quilting machine repair person, but as my experience has grown, I find myself enjoying it more and more! In 2018 circumstances changed and I didn’t want to be working outside the home anymore, so I reached out to MK Quilts and followed my dream of owning my own long arm. I chose MK as the retailer because I met Mr. MK in training at HQ in April 2017, he was so kind and helpful, and I was also a big fan of MK’s videos and teaching method. Their customer service was amazing and set me on my own path to success. I have watched MK Quilts grow, and am so honored and excited at the opportunity to now be a part of their team as an installer and technician. Having logged so many hours at my Amara, I feel even more equipped to help you start (or upgrade!) your exciting quilting adventure. |
