Why I would not buy this PC for running Pro-Stitcher

This post is not to defame this add as being a bad deal.  You are probably getting an ok deal, but I wanted to point out some key red flags that a novice might miss.  You can refer to my previous blog post on selecting a laptop as well.  Click the 'read more' below to find out my concerns.

Windows 7 Professional
Great if you are business that has not moved to Windows 10.  But otherwise, you will be dealing with the hassle of upgrading to Windows 10 on your own.  The vendor is paying for the Windows 10 license, but is allowed to still ship the older version.
500G Hard Drive
You should be looking for an SSD drive.  This one still has physically spinning disks.  Cheaper per gigabyte, but it will greatly reduce the performance and your personal experience.
CPU = i5
The i5 processor is plenty of computing power for the PSP user.  But did you notice that it is a 6th generation CPU?  The i5 processors have been shipping 7th generation for a while.  This laptop was likely engineered two years ago.  I had to look at the specs to find the generation.

Did you miss it?

No Touchscreen
Some people hate touchscreens, but I find it very helpful at times.  It is also an indication of older hardware.

I hope this helps you get a little more clarity on how to select a PC for your future PSP simulation computer.

I have had my second Dell Inspiron 17 5000 series die after loading QE Pattern Finder and sorting 1200 designs over a period of two years I am sick that it happened again. Guess I need a new computer and saw your recommendations 500 G and CPU but do you have a recommedation for brand of computer

All manufacturers have had their issues with certain models of their PCs. The hardware used is a commodity. A few screen makers, a few (two) cpu makers, etc...

It would be interesting in hearing about your Dell experience. But I can assure you they are not doing anything worse in the market than others. I would still buy on the value as I outlined it and not worry about the brand name - the warranty and return policy is usually enough insurance.

Armpits.
