When should I update Pro-Stitcher?

If you are not having problems and don't need a new feature...

  1. Wait two months for an update (patch) to be tested by other people with more time on their hands.
  2. Don't get more then 6 months behind on a update.

Don't call support about a problem without first loading the latest update

The nice thing about Pro-Stitcher is that you can always 'rollback' to an earlier version.  (I would keep copies of the installation files in a folder somewhere.)  But if you are having a problem, make sure you are running the latest version before calling support.

My logic

Unless you are a 'tester' who likes to help debug things, it is never a good idea to be on the leading edge (bleeding edge) of change.  If it ain't broke, don't fix it. These are my opinions.

Do NOT skip the operating system updates from Microsoft.

The rules for software updates do NOT apply to the operating system updates that Microsoft pushes out.  They are pushing out security updates and anti-virus database updates for their Defender program.  Not allowing the MS Operating System updates to run weekly will put your computer at risk.

Mr MK,
I want to bring a photo of my quilt into PS, as MK does, to audition and fit designs over the quilt image. I have my photo on usb, the usb shows up in my PS file directory but does not show the photo as existing (it does on my pc via windows). Do I need to change the photo from a jpeg so PS can find it? If so, how? Thanks Paul! Linda
