I can't input a decimal.  The period won't work!

Keep PS Simulator in 'Touch' mode

The short version of this problem is that people find that they can not use their keyboard on a laptop to enter a decimal number in Pro-Stitcher.  For instance, a size of 6.5 inches.  Or a nudge factor of .2.  What is happening is that the onscreen keypad only pops up when you have PS in Touch mode.  If the laptop does not have a dedicated 10-key configuration keyboard, there is no decimal key.  The period key on the normal section of the keyboard does not work as a decimal between numbers.

If you are not in Touch mode, the PS display will look like this...

Notice that the icons and spacing is different than when you are in Touch mode...

When in Touch mode, if you click on an input box the keypad appears...  (we turned off the grid and selected Modify->Resize.  Then clicked on the input box.)

If you are not in Touch mode, you can click in the input box but you will not get the popup.  You can input numbers above the letter keys.

But if you do not have a laptop with a 10-key config - or use an external keyboard with a 10-key configuration - you can not put a decimal in the value.

The keyboard above has a 10-key (circled in blue).  If you tried to use the 'period' key on the left, it will not work as of version 447 of Pro-Stitcher.  You must use the 'decimal' key at the right. Many laptops lack the 10-key configuration to save space.  So stay in touch mode.

Hallo Paul, das klappt jetzt mit dem Pop up. Aaaber wenn ich z.B. 9.50 eingebe, macht er aber 950. Er akzeptiert den Punkt nicht....ich kann also keine direkten dezimal Zahlen eingeben...

This problem was solved by putting the PSP in Touch mode and using the pop-up keypad that appears. There is a coding issue where the period does not work on a standard keyboard, but the decimal key in the 10-key keypad (if available) does.
